Children’s Minnesota’s Anesthesia Department is seeking full-time CRNAs (or 0.8 FTE) to join our busy pediatric practice across the Minneapolis and Minnetonka West campuses. The role includes 8-hour and 10-hour shifts, covering up to 15 operating rooms and more than 19,000 surgical cases per year.

The position also provides 24/7 OR coverage for Level 1 Pediatric Trauma, with involvement in cardiac, neuro and neonatal cases, and opportunities to participate in perioperative care and pain

Qualifications

  • Licensed RN in Minnesota with current license.
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
  • CRNA license and active certification.
  • BLS certification; PALS and/or ACLS up to date.

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia services (inpatient and outpatient) for cardiac, neuro, level 1 trauma, and neonatal cases.
  • Supply 24/7 operating room coverage for Level 1 Pediatric Trauma patients.
  • Act as first responder for all code blue situations and Level 1 traumas, performing airway management.
  • Participate in ancillary services as needed throughout the hospital.
  • Manage respiratory and airway care and perform professional consultations for patients requiring unusual pain‑management techniques or analgesic nerve blocks.
  • Encourage parental involvement during induction of anesthesia whenever safely possible.

Education

Position Summary

Children’s Minnesota’s Anesthesia Department is seeking full‑time CRNAs (or 0.8 FTE) to join our busy practice. The independent pediatric hospital system provides a variety of anesthesia services to children on the Minneapolis and Minnetonka West campuses, both inpatient and outpatient. The role covers a mix of 8‑hour shifts (7:00‑15:30) and 10‑hour shifts (7:00‑17:00). The CRNA program provides coverage for up to 15 operating rooms per day and over 19,000 surgical cases per year. CRNAs also provide 24/7 operating room coverage to our Level 1 Pediatric Trauma program.

Responsibilities
