Job Description - Nurse Anesthesia Faculty - Full-Time Non-Tenure Stream (25001863)

The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking qualified applicants for full-time, non-tenure stream faculty in the Department of Nurse Anesthesia.

Faculty promotion opportunities are available at all ranks. Qualifications include an earned doctorate (DNP or PhD) and eligibility for RN licensure in Pennsylvania. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Assistant Professor: A) An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field within the School of Nursing. B) Evidence of or potential for a sustained and impactful program of scholarship. C) Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to an inclusive learning environment.
• Associate Professor: A) An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field. B) Evidence of a sustained, impactful, and nationally recognized program of scholarship. C) Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to an inclusive learning environment. D) Evidence of or potential for leadership in the field.
• Professor: A) An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field. B) Evidence of a sustained, impactful, and internationally recognized program of scholarship. C) Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to an inclusive learning environment. D) Evidence of leadership in the field.

Desired Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of full-time practice as a CRNA, with experience in developing curricular materials and teaching nurse anesthesia students in clinical and classroom settings.
