Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Baltimore, MD seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide direct patient care before, during, and after vascular access procedures. You will work under the direction of facility leadership to ensure optimal patient outcomes and compliant practice.

The role emphasizes CQI, allergy to ensure high-quality patient care, and coordination with physicians and staff to deliver safe, efficient care with strict adherence to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree desirable; and Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
• Current appropriate state licensure and ACLS certification required.
• 4 - 6 years’ related experience preferred.
• Office Based Surgical Center/Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access, Cardiac Cath Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology and ICU/CCU or emergency department experience preferred.
• Proficient in IV insertion and cardiac rhythm recognition.
• Certified in BLS & ACLS successfully completed course certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care pre, during and post procedure under direction of supervisors.
• Monitors patient condition and administers medications and IV moderate sedation per physician orders.
• Acts as scrub technologist and assists physician during procedures.
• Completes documentation of patient information from admission to discharge.
