Job Summary

Respond to call lights to assess resident needs, assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, and help residents use wheelchairs or walk. Maintain residents' rooms, serve and collect food trays, assist with feeding and hydration, and transport residents to various programs. Record vital signs and other procedures as directed by nursing staff, and report any unusual conditions. Prepare and store nursing supplies, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred, but not required
• Participation in on-the-job training programs required
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant or complete the CNA program within legally mandated timeframes
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Good verbal communication skills and compassion for geriatric residents
• Ability to perform caregiving activities over long durations
• Capability to lift, transfer, push, and pull residents and equipment safely, with assistance as needed
• Visual acuity for reading gauges, taking vital signs, and recording data
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods and with heavy objects
• Manual dexterity and coordination for working with residents and equipment
• Proficiency in documentation, either written or electronic

Pay range: $13.75 - $19.13 per hour
