Houston Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Houston, TX is offering a Nurse Aide in Training program that combines online and on-floor training to prepare employees for the Certified Nurse Aide exam. Paid on-the-job training is provided through multiple avenues at no cost.

During training, you will work under the supervision of Charge Nurses, assisting residents with activities of daily living and logging care in the EMR.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience as a caregiver preferred.
  • Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide residents with comfort and safety per care plan.
  • Measure and record vital signs.
  • Assist with bathing, feeding, dressing and mobility.
  • Log care provided into Electronic Medical Records system.
  • Answer call lights promptly and seek assistance when needed.
  • Report symptoms, changes in condition to nursing staff.
