Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services is offering a Nurse Aide in Training program at Hidalgo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Edinburg, TX. The program combines online and on-floor training with potential Education Assistance to become a Certified Nurse Aide.

During initial Hospitality Aide, you perform supportive, non-clinical duties and gain understanding of responsibilities, before advancing to CNA role under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (highly preferred).
• Experience as a caregiver is preferred.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with comfort and safety, reporting situations that may cause incidents.
• Carry out duties per resident care policy and procedure.
• Assist in daily caregiving tasks: bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake, mobility.
• Log care provided into the Electronic Medical Records system.
• Measure and record vital signs, observe symptoms and changes of condition.
• Walk with ambulatory residents or assist wheelchairs as needed.
• Move residents and assist with lifting and transfers where appropriate.
• Answer call lights promptly and request assistance when needed.
