Job summary

Highlandspring in Ft. Thomas, KY is seeking an unlicensed team member to work in the nursing department before completing the nurse aide training program. This position is part of the Nurse Aide Training Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP).

It cannot perform direct patient care, and the team member must pass the licensure test within about 4 months to become a STNA or move to a non-nursing role. Responsibilities include answering call lights, assisting with meals and hydration, making beds,

Qualifications

• Unlicensed team member working in the nursing department before NAT training.
• Part of the Nurse Aide Training Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP).
• Must pass licensure test within four months to become a STNA or transition to a non-nursing role if unsuccessful.

Responsibilities

• Answer call lights.
• Pass ice and water to patients and assist hydration.
• Assist with making patient beds and laundry.
• Stock clean linen closets and manage infection control.
• Clean and organize patient drawers under supervision.
• Deliver dining room trays and meals to residents.
• Provide one-on-one visits/companionship and assist with activities when needed.
