Job summary

Carespring Health Care Management in Ohio is seeking a Nurse Aide in Training (NAT) under NATCEP guidelines. The role is a pre-training position where direct patient care is not performed, with pathways to become a STNA.

Qualifications

• NATCEP program participation required.
• Must pass licensure test to become STNA within 4 months.
• Position is non-direct care during pre-training period.

Responsibilities

• Answer call lights
• Pass ice and water to patients between meals; assist hydration
• Assist with making patient beds
• Assist with laundry portion of STNA job
• Put away patient’s clean personal laundry
• Stock clean linen closets per infection control
• Clean and organize patient drawers under supervision
• Empty soiled utility containers
• Mark personal items to prevent cross contamination
• Set dining room tables for meals
• Meal Service – not permitted to feed patients
• Pass trays and drinks to residents
• Deliver room trays to patients
• One-on-one visits/companionship with patients
• Complete any other non-direct care task assigned by nurse or unit manager
• Assist with activities if no other nursing activities are needed
