Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will help deliver patient-centered care in line with the PFCC model, ensuring dignity, information sharing, participation, and collaboration with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Nurse Aide I licensure or certification as required by state.
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide secretarial support to patients, families and staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Support PFCC principles by communicating clearly and with empathy.
• Assist with clerical tasks and coordinate patient flow under RN supervision.

Overview

The Nurse Aide I/Clinical Secretary provides appropriate secretarial support to patients/families and professional staff to ensure efficient customer oriented service delivery. The Nurse Aide I/Clinical Secretary actively supports and incorporates WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model by delivering patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The four key concepts of PFCC are: Dignity and Respect = Listen to and honor patient and family perspectives and choices; Information Sharing = Communicate and share complete and unbiased information with patients and families in ways that are affirming and useful; Participation = Patients and families are encouraged and supported in participating in care and decision-making at the level they choose; Collaboration = Patients and families and the Nurse Aide I/Clinical Secretary collaborate in the delivery of care.
