Qualifications

Location: Stratford, Connecticut

Job Overview

Prometric is seeking experienced Nurses with long‑term care experience to administer the Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) Exam. This role will evaluate candidates pursuing CNA certification and ensure a high quality test experience.

Responsibilities

• Proctor a computerized knowledge‑based examination
• Objective observation and scoring of candidates demonstrating clinical skills
• Deliver test events and maintain security
• Prepare events by monitoring rosters and ensuring the site is correctly set up and cleaned up
• Control test area by maintaining knowledge of Prometric policies
• Greet examinees and verify identification
• Monitor candidates during written exam and direct another proctor if necessary
• Manage testing environment to ensure candidate flow
• Observe and rate candidates during practical exam
• Resolve candidate issues or report to supervisor
• Protect exam content by administering computer‑based testing
• Reboot workstations and reset passwords as necessary
• Ensure seamless candidate experience
• Report occurrences outside company guidelines to supervisor

Other

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with testing sites
• Maintain online appointment schedule to ensure event coverage
• Provide on‑site leadership for candidates
• Foster professional and courteous relationships with peers
• Serve as Prometric Brand Ambassador during test administrations
• Administer up to 3 test days a week (average 8 hours per test day) at various locations within a 30‑mile radius of zip code; exams mainly Monday‑Friday with some Saturday and occasional Sunday; ideal candidate can work 1‑3 days a week or 2‑4 days a month
• Exams are administered within 30‑45 mile radius, with mileage reimbursement beyond 30 miles

Qualification Requirements

• Registered Nurse with active, unrestricted license in state of operation
• BA/BS degree preferred
• One year of experience in long‑term care or caring for chronically ill of any age
• Staff development and/or training experience preferred
• Intermediate to advanced technical skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, web browsing
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Access to personal computer equipment (PC/laptop, printer)
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to test events
• Proactive, flexible, amicable, able to solve problems independently

Physical Job Requirements

• Ability to travel 30 miles or more one way from zip code
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per event)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (testing mannequin)
