Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation, and maintaining continence.
- Support senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
- Follow department protocols for documentation.
- Prioritize and adjust assignments throughout the shift to meet changing needs.
- Perform duties within the work environment as assigned, adhering to department policies.
- Implement and follow the individual care/service plans.
- Ensure confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
Additional Responsibilities (if working in a Residential Style Living Community)
- Prepare meals and snacks as requested.
- Process laundry for seniors/clients.
- Evaluate emergency situations and perform CPR when necessary, based on training.
Additional Responsibilities (if utilizing MA-40)
- Prepare and administer medications and treatments under RN supervision, following physician orders and facility policies.

Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, including medical terminology.
- Physical ability to access the work area and perform duties safely, including lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
Credentials
- Valid CNA certification in good standing, registered in Nebraska.
- CPR certification required for CNAs and Med Aides.
- Med Aide certification in good standing, registered in Nebraska.
- All certifications must be kept current at employee's expense.
- Must meet Tabitha’s vaccination requirements.
