Overview

The Nurse Aide I/Clinical Secretary provides secretarial support to patients, families, and staff to ensure efficient, customer-oriented service delivery. They actively support WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model by delivering patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The four key PFCC concepts are:

  1. Dignity and Respect: Listen to and honor patient and family perspectives and choices.
  2. Information Sharing: Communicate complete and unbiased information in an affirming and useful manner.
  3. Participation: Encourage and support patients and families in participating in care and decision-making at their preferred level.
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members in care delivery.
