OhioHealth is seeking a Nurse Administrator I to lead nursing units with focus on efficient patient care, throughput, and department support. This role guides staffing, clinical practice, and coordination across hospital services to maintain high reliability.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license in Ohio with an Associate’s Degree, BLS, and 2–5 years of clinical leadership experience. The position is on-site in Marion, OH within Nursing Administration.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required) and RN license in Ohio.
  • Current Ohio RN license; multi-state compact license acceptable.
  • BLS Certification.
  • 2–5 years of clinical leadership or management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care services, patient throughput, and support for all hospital departments.
  • Review staffing and allocate staff to meet changing patient care needs.
  • Serve as clinical resource and role model; ensure safe, equitable working environments; use information systems for records.
  • Interact with internal and external customers and act as a resource for information and problem solving.
  • Coordinate with Nursing and other departments for problem solving and resolution.
  • Coordinate and assist with activities during internal and external emergencies.

Job Description Summary

The Nurse Administrator I position is responsible for maintaining efficient and effective operations of nursing units/hospitals by providing direction for patient care services, patient throughput, and support for all hospital departments

Responsibilities And Duties

50%

Contributes to administrative functioning of nursing services by reviewing staffing, reassigning and allocating staff as appropriate to meet changing patient care needs.

15%

Serves as a clinical resource and role model to nursing staff. Ensures safe and equitable working environments. Uses information systems to retrieve, implement, and retain essential records and services.

15%

Interacts with internal and external customers and serves as a resource for information and problem solving (i.e. media, patient relations, risk management, security, hospital administration, patients, and families).

10%

Serves as a liaison between nursing services and other hospital departments for problem solving and problem resolution (i.e. Pharmacy, Lab, etc.).

10%

Coordinates and/or assists with activities during internal and external emergency situations.

Additional Job Description

Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or Current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state. Field of Study: Nursing Years of Experience 2 to 5 years

Staffing and scheduling patterns, communication, interpersonal relationships skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution

Minimum 2 Years Clinical Experience
  • BLS Certified
  • Specialized Knowledge in related field
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
