Job summary

Merakey is seeking a full-time Nurse for the Adult Behavioral Health program in York, PA. The role is 40 hours per week across 2nd and 3rd shifts, with some 1st shift openings; weekend availability and one double shift per week are required.

LPN earns $28.16/hr and RN earns $38.67/hr, with shift differentials. Under the Program Director, you’ll promote health, administer meds, lead groups, and coordinate appointments in an Extended Acute Care setting.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN or LPN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active driver's license required.
• Willingness to work with adults diagnosed with chronic mental health disorders.
• Experience with adult mental health population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and therapeutic treatment orders.
• Training residents in self-administration of medications and monitor and document weight, respiration and blood pressure.
• Leading and co-leading therapeutic groups, completing thorough documentation and progress notes in the electronic medical record.
• Assisting with scheduling medical/dental/vision appointments as needed.
• Completing shift notes documenting on each of the 16 residents.

Position Details

Under the guidance of the Program Director, our nurses play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) within theExtended Acute Care (EAC) setting. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate, person-centered care in a collaborative environment.
