Job summary

Merakey is seeking a full-time nurse (RN or LPN) to join our Adult Behavioral Health program in York, PA. Under the supervision of the Program Director, you will administer medications, lead group activities, and document care in the electronic medical record for residents with serious mental illness.

Schedule: 40 hours/week with 2nd and 3rd shifts, some 1st shift openings; weekend availability and one double shift per week required. RN earns $38.67/hr; LPN $28.16/hr plus shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Requires active Pennsylvania RN or LPN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active driver's license required.
• Must be willing to work with adults diagnosed with chronic mental health disorders.
• Experience with adult mental health population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and therapeutic treatment orders.
• Training residents in self-administration of medications and monitoring vitals.
• Leading and co-leading therapeutic groups and documenting progress notes.
• Assisting with scheduling medical/dental/vision appointments as needed.
• Completing shift notes documenting on each of the 16 residents.

Position Details Under the guidance of the Program Director, our nurses play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) within theExtended Acute Care (EAC) setting. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate, person-centered care in a collaborative environment.
