Job summary

Merakey is seeking full-time registered nurses (RN) or licensed practical nurses (LPN) to join our Adult Behavioral Health program in York, PA. You will work 40 hours weekly on 2nd and 3rd shifts, with some 1st shift openings, weekend requirements, and one double shift per week.

Responsibilities include administering medications, leading therapeutic groups, and documenting in the electronic medical record. Competitive benefits and shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN or LPN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active driver’s license is required.
• Must be willing to work with adults diagnosed with chronic mental health disorders.
• Experience working with the adult mental health population preferred.

Position Details

Under the guidance of the Program Director, our nurses play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) within the Extended Acute Care (EAC) setting. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate, person-centered care in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administering medications and therapeutic treatment orders.
• Training residents in self-administration of medications and monitor and document weight, respiration and blood pressure.
• Leading and co-leading therapeutic groups, completing thorough documentation and progress notes in the electronic medical record.
• Assisting with scheduling medical/dental/vision appointments as needed.
• Completing shift notes documenting on each of the 16 residents.
