Job Description

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join Wellstar Internal Medicine Associates of Marietta, an outpatient Primary Care Practice located in Marietta, GA. Candidates must be able to work alongside other providers and independently.

The APRN/PA will support the mission, vision, values, and goals of the WellStar Health System by focusing on clinical excellence through the provision of quality, patient-centered care.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

1. Clinical Functions
   • Provide quality care to all patients in a safe and efficient manner.
   • Collaborate to develop and utilize Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) protocols for targeted diagnosis.
   • Participate in quality assurance, risk management, peer review programs, grievance procedures, and utilization control mechanisms implemented by the Medical Group and its Affiliates.
2. Additional Job Duties:
   • Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations.
   • Order labs, radiology tests, and other diagnostics as needed.
   • Evaluate lab data to establish health status and develop diagnoses and treatment plans.
   • Work as part of multidisciplinary care teams.
   • Educate patients about their diseases and treatments.
   • Serve as a clinical preceptor for PA/APRN students and other health professionals.
   • Refer patients to specialists as appropriate.
   • Provide virtual healthcare remotely.
   • Perform other duties as assigned based on training and experience.
