Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Numerical Control Programmers (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX. The role requires hands-on programming, setup and verification of NC data and tooling for aerospace components.

You will develop Machining Control Data, work across shifts, and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure producibility and quality. Experience with CATIA/ENOVIA, IVT and REDARS is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of NC programming experience for aerospace tooling.
• Experience creating and editing machine control data (MCD).
• Familiar with GD&T and fixture design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide NC programming and machining technical experience for a full spectrum of NC equipment.
• Plan, create, verify and revise MCD, geometry and documentation for manufacturing.
• Develop new machining techniques, processes, software and equipment.
• Create 3D models from 2D drawings and work with PCM and mylars.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience. Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility. Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work. Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment. Ability to create 3D models from 2D drawings. Has working knowledge of Photo Contact Masters (PCM) and mylars. Experience with aerospace tooling, GD&T, and fixture design. Works under general direction.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

WORK HOURS

FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT; must be available for all shifts (1st, 2nd and 3rd) as well as weekend or daily overtime.
