Duke Energy is seeking a Nuclear Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join the Specialty Services Group. The role involves maintaining and calibrating electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic instrumentation systems across sites in the Carolinas and beyond.

The position requires nuclear access, ability to travel up to 100% of the time, and strong reading of electrical diagrams with safety-first discipline. A high school diploma and related experience are required.

Formación

• One year closely related experience with Tan Delta Cable Testing.
• One year closely related experience with Motor Testing.
• One year closely related experience with Automatic Voltage Regulator Maintenance.
• Experience with troubleshooting electrical/instrumentation equipment.
• Experience reading electrical diagrams, schematics, and one-line drawings.
• Experience utilizing electrical/instrumentation test equipment.
• Experience with lock out tag out of electrical equipment.
• Currently have Nuclear Access.

Responsabilidades

• Perform calibration, maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic instrumentation & control systems.
• Read and interpret I&C and Electrical drawings, work orders and plans.
• Develop proficiency in calibration equipment and specialty tooling.
• Gain unescorted nuclear access and maintain safety compliance.
• Utilize Maximo, CAS, Tags Pro, eSOMs, Nantel and other software for tasks.
