Averro is seeking a highly capable System Transients Analysis Engineer for an advanced nuclear program in the Bellevue, WA area. You will develop RELAP5-3D models and analyze steady state and transient networks to support design solutions.

You will interface with safety, I&C, and design groups, and work on thermal-hydraulic modeling, control systems, and safety analyses to validate results. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in nuclear, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• Experience with RELAP5/TRACE is essential.
• Experience with ASME component design/analysis is desirable.
• Experience modeling control systems and I&C is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Develop RELAP5-3D models for steady state and transient one-dimensional network hydraulics.
• Develop plant-level control strategy and component-level controllers.
• Perform heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics calculations to support analyses.
• Analyze reactor operations during normal, upset, and faulted events to establish loadings.
• Analyze plant-wide transients for operation narratives and design solutions.
• Conduct multidisciplinary analyses involving sodium, molten salt, and non-condensable fluids.
• Collaborate with other engineering groups on design and testing.
