Crane Company in the United States is seeking a Nuclear Engineer to design, analyze, test, and oversee systems for safe and compliant radiation applications. The role supports energy production and regulatory compliance while driving innovation in nuclear technologies.

You will conduct analyses, review documentation, and collaborate with product teams to ensure safety, quality, and performance across projects. A Bachelor’s in a relevant field and experience in nuclear environments are required.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience desired.
  • Knowledge of reactor physics, thermodynamics, and radiation protection.
  • Familiarity with nuclear regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Experience with an ERP system such as SAP is a plus.
  • Experience in nuclear power plants, research facilities, or regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct engineering analyses, simulations, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Review technical documentation and prepare engineering reports.
  • Develop procedures for handling radioactive materials and waste.
  • Working directly with the respective Product Line Leader, Quality, Manufacturing, and other Functional Teams to ensure products meet internal and external requirements, start to finish, and provide for continued growth of the product line.
  • Fostering a creative environment; allowing for new ideas while embracing speed and excellence.
  • Supporting technical discussions with customers as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
