Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a System Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN to support machining center installations and production operations. The role requires applying engineering disciplines to configuration management, troubleshooting, and maintenance in a nuclear-regulated environment.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, and contribute to safe, compliant operations under NRC/DOE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited BS degree in Engineering and 5+ years of professional experience.
• MS degree in Engineering preferred.
• Q clearance required; U.S. citizenship for government contract work.
• Experience in NRC/DOE regulated environments is desirable.
• Mechanical and electrical systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support new machining center installations and configurations.
• Troubleshoot and improve production equipment and processes.
• Apply systems and equipment expertise to resolve issues across disciplines.
• Work with clients and production/support teams in a nuclear environment.
