Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering seeks a System Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN to support machining center installations and ongoing operations. The role requires strong communication, a machining background, and the ability to interface with clients and teams in a nuclear regulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited BS degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in NRC or DOE regulated environment is desirable.
• Understanding of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance for nuclear facilities.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Support new machining center installations and/or existing machining production operations.
• Perform troubleshooting and improvement activities.
• Apply system and equipment expertise to resolve issues with other disciplines.
• Interface with clients, production and support teams, management, and hourly staff.
