Job summary

JRC seeks a Nuclear Surety & Certification lead for the LOC missile program. You will plan, manage, verify, and support certification across flight-system subsystems, ensuring integration of safety, security, and control policies throughout the lifecycle.

You will advise on acquisition strategy, cost, schedule, and technical trade-offs while coordinating with DoD leadership and external partners to drive readiness for certification reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of defense system engineering on an MDAP.
• Experience with DoD instructions and acquisition policies.

Responsibilities

• Assess surety policy and translate into verifiable missile requirements.
• Oversee contractor surety implementation into missile designs.
• Represent LOC equities at high-level surety meetings.
• Collaborate with external partners to document architectures and risk mitigation.
• Support certification activities and lifecycle readiness.
