Job summary

GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas LLC is seeking a Sourcing Intern in Wilmington, NC. You will help achieve the lowest cost for materials while maintaining quality and schedule, and may participate in negotiating proposals and contracts under company and government rules.

Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time undergrad or grad program in engineering or supply chain, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering or supply chain discipline, which includes Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Welding Engineering, or similar discipline.
• Bachelors or Masters degree-seeking graduation years: December 2027, May or December 2028, May or December 2029
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 cumulative (without rounding).
• Demonstrated initiative.
• Interest in nuclear power industry.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs.
• You may solicit and evaluate proposals employing appropriate negotiation, cost, and price analysis techniques, using available expertise from supporting organizations; Additional projects may involve implementing purchase contracts following applicable company and government regulations, and evaluating current and anticipated requirements.
