Job summary

Aalo Atomics is seeking a Nuclear Safety Integration Lead to coordinate inputs required to develop and defend the DOE safety basis and PDSA. You will align the DOE authorization team, risk and reliability groups, and engineering teams to ensure a defensible safety case.

This high-visibility role demands deep familiarity with DOE safety-basis requirements and strong cross-disciplinary judgment to translate regulatory needs into actionable engineering work and robust safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a nuclear/engineering field.
• 8+ years of nuclear safety analysis or safety basis development experience.
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline inputs into DOE safety basis documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated PDSA content and ownership plan for all contributing technical teams.
• Coordinate preparation, integration, internal review, and defense of the PDSA and related DOE safety documents.
• Translate DOE safety-basis requirements into analysis, reports, and data needs for engineering teams.
• Identify methods and assumptions needing DOE alignment and coordinate with the DOE authorization lead.
• Track and manage PDSA deliverables and open items across teams; escalate risks.
