Nuclear Safety Engineer III

Position Overview

Under direct supervision, the Nuclear Safety Engineer III supports management in various nuclear safety functions related to operations and engineering system design. The role involves assisting in multiple functional areas, including but not limited to:

1. Tracking and trending of Nuclear Safety performance
2. Supporting Nuclear Safety operability and engineering evaluations
3. Preparing problem disposition reports
4. Preparing Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) Screenings and Determinations
5. Reviewing Safety Basis documents
6. Assisting in the preparation of new and revised Safety Basis Documents
7. Monitoring project progress and preparing procedures
8. Preparing documentation for communications and meetings
9. Identifying and evaluating project issues and problems
10. Providing technical or functional support to team members
11. Performing routine tasks of general complexity
12. Maintaining knowledge of safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and performing duties safely
13. Participating actively in Safety Work Groups
