The University of Texas at Austin's Nuclear Engineering Teaching Laboratory seeks a Research Engineering/Scientist Associate II to assist in operation and maintenance of the UT TRIGA reactor, support research staff, and assemble and run experiments with nuclear instrumentation.

The role requires a master’s degree or a bachelor’s with related experience, strong communication, and the ability to obtain an NRC reactor operator license within a year.

Responsibilities

  • Obtains and maintains an NRC reactor operator license supervising the safe operation of the UT TRIGA reactor and supporting the NETL reactor operations team.
