Job summary

Radiant, an El Segundo, CA-based company, seeks a Regulatory Program Manager to lead the authorization process for reactor deployment with military partners. You will manage regulatory submissions, coordinate conversations with regulators, and mentor junior team members while advancing Radiant’s novel licensing approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (nuclear, mechanical, electrical, computer science, or similar).
• ≥5 years experience in a regulated industry, preferably nuclear programs regulated by the NRC or DOE.
• Experience interfacing, interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements; focus on streamlining and right-sizing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation abilities; ability to navigate regulatory conversations and write technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer relationship, coordinating interactions and meetings, tracking deliverables, submission and acceptance, and compliance to contracts.
• Own end to end licensing execution efforts required to fulfill an application deliverable, from safety analysis to physical protection plan.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies to drive efficient project execution and authorization.
• Oversee regulatory and quality documentation; organize inputs into data products and reports; raise regulatory concerns and ensure timely resolution.
• Proactively review approaches to ensure adherence to Radiant’s licensing paths.
