Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a Receipt Inspector to join our Oak Ridge project focused on nuclear QA. You will control incoming materials, verify conformance to drawings and specs, and ensure strict traceability and documentation in our QA system.

The role requires experience with precision inspection tools, GD&T, and collaboration with engineering and procurement teams. A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Receipt inspector experience in a nuclear quality assurance environment.
• Experience reviewing QA documentation to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Experience using precision measurement tools and equipment (CMMs, calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Basic understanding of quality management system requirements and related documentation.
• Experience in preparing QA procedures for review, approval and issuance.

Responsibilities

• Approve incoming parts and materials by confirming compliance to purchase orders, technical specifications, and drawings.
• Interpret GD&T requirements to verify product conformance.
• Review and validate supplier documentation including CoCs, MTRs, and inspection reports.
• Verify traceability of materials as required by Centrus specifications.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using calibrated tools and approved methods.
• Document inspection results in the quality management system with nonconformances and acceptance records.
• Segregate nonconforming items and initiate nonconformance reports; follow up with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Supplier Quality to resolve issues and disposition inspected items.
• Develop and maintain QA procedures and work instructions.
