Job summary

Framatome North America in Lynchburg, VA, seeks a Project Engineer to lead planning, coordination, and execution of complex engineering projects, interfacing with engineering disciplines, project management, customers, suppliers, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will ensure projects comply with codes and standards, manage resources, and align with safety and quality requirements. PE or EIT certification and EPC/capital project experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 7 years of related experience
• Knowledge of project life cycles, methodologies and phases
• Understanding of engineering disciplines
• Supply chain and procurement practices
• Budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation
• Stakeholder coordination, team collaboration, client presentations
• Root cause analysis and innovative thinking
• Engineering analysis: ASME Section III/XI, Thermal Hydraulics, Fluid Systems, Electrical, or I&C
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards
• EPC or capital project experience
• Systems Engineering experience
• PE or EIT certification

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all engineering work and preparations required to implement the contract within budget/schedule
• Plans, organizes and follows through to complete client solutions
• Forecasts necessary skills and work arrangements to support project objectives
• May supervise day-to-day operations of engineers, designers and technicians
• Represents the company in communications with other organizations
• Proposes plans and cost improvement programs to meet business objectives
