Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Project Engineer within order engineering to review data, create 2D drawings and 3D models, and establish schedules for standard and custom pump and seal orders. You will coordinate cross-functionally with Flowserve departments and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance.

The role emphasizes applying lean and Six Sigma tools to improve cost, delivery, and performance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2-3 years of relevant design engineering experience.
• Experience with 2D and 3D drafting and modeling.
• Preferred: design engineering experience with rotating equipment.
• Preferred: ASME B&PV Code & ANSI Y14.5 knowledge.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Familiarity with Nuclear Industry guidelines (HI, 10CFR50, 10CFR21, API, CSA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Review and interpretation of customer specifications.
• Assist in material selection to meet customer project requirements.
• Technical project responsibility including creating complete engineering bills of materials and customer/part design drawings.
• Meets project schedule milestones for engineering deliverables.
• Interfaces and supports other department functions by providing technical guidance to procurement, planning, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Conducts design reviews to ensure components & assemblies comply with customer specifications and design requirements.
• Manages multiple projects involving complex designs, including oversight of support resources and seeking guidance from technical specialists.
• Performs and reviews engineering calculations and analysis in support of design efforts.
• Reviews and approves suppliers’ documentation.
• Supports technical discussions with customers and other key functional areas.

Role Summary:A Project Engineer within order engineering is an integral member of the Customer Order execution process. A Project Engineer reviews and prepares Engineering data, 2D drawings, 3D models, bills of materials, performs engineering studies and related calculations, and coordinates cross-functionally with other Flowserve departments (internal and external) and suppliers to establish schedules for the fulfillment of standard and custom pump and seal orders.
