Job summary

Pantex in Amarillo, TX, seeks a Production Section Manager to lead special projects, coordinate production activities, and ensure resources and procedures meet commitments and safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and experience in nuclear/manufacturing, with the ability to obtain/maintain a DOE Q clearance and perform required training. You will drive safety and continuous improvement across the section.

Qualifications

• Experience in production and/or nuclear/manufacturing.
• Thorough knowledge of machining practices and CNC machine tools.
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings and operating procedures; knowledge of Conduct of Operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Production Section Manager for special projects and ensure production tasks are completed.
• May act as department manager in absence.
• Plan, coordinate and direct production activities to meet customer commitments.
• Ensure resources (personnel, facilities, equipment, tools, materials) are available and work follows approved procedures.
• Promote worker involvement in planning, execution and hazard controls per Integrated Safety Management.
