Job summary

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions seeks qualified Level O2 Production Operators to support operations at the Savannah River Site. This role requires completion of Level O1 Production requirements or promotion-ready facility training, plus a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant testing scores.

Applicants must meet security and training standards, with prior operator experience and ability to work safely in a nuclear environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of Level O1 Production requirements.
• Qualification on facility training for promotion to Level O2.
• High school diploma, GED or other state equivalent.
• ACT WorkKeys assessment with minimum scores (Workplace Observation 2, Graphic Literacy 3, Applied Technology 3) or WIN Assessments (Work Ready Math 3, Work Ready Reading 3, Work Ready Data 2).
• Minimum of at least one-year previous experience as a qualified production operator (to include completion of the SRS fundamentals program or nuclear fundamentals certificate).

Responsibilities

• Operate production processes and equipment safely per procedures.
• Perform walk-downs of operations and monitor process instrumentation.
• Receive, handle and ship nuclear materials; maintain area qualifications.
• Communicate with managers, supervisors, operators and other support personnel to ensure safe, effective operations.
• Participate in event investigations and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
