Engineering roles perform engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments. They may design and scale up manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment and tests manufactured products to maintain quality. They may plan, design, and estimate time and cost and oversees construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems, and components. They analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures. They develop and apply engineering standards and procedures and provide advice on issues within the engineering field.
Engineering – Multidiscipline personnel typically own a multidiscipline engineering related work scope. Responsibilities are within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

Recent college graduates will initially be placed in the Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP). They will receive one-on-one career development assistance from seasoned professionals from different backgrounds and will be collocated with other new hires allowing for peer group connection. They will begin their technical training as well as be given project assignments that will provide them with exposure to different facilities and site work processes.

P2: Requires a working knowledge and experience in own field, while building knowledge of the company and customers, under a moderate level of guidance and direction.
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
