Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join the Quality and Procurement Engineering team at the Manufacturing Fuels Complex in Idaho Falls. The role applies engineering principles to procurement and ensures quality requirements are incorporated into all procurement documents.

You will support design reviews, supplier qualification, and procurement execution from award through audits, maintaining safety and reliability of nuclear systems.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree with 5+ years' experience (Level 3) or 9+ years (Level 4).
• Experience sustaining quality assurance and procurement for nuclear facilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy L clearance (US citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to procurement of items and services for nuclear facilities.
• Ensure procurement documents include technical and quality requirements (e.g., QAPP, QIP, specifications, vendor data schedules).
• Participate in design reviews of systems, structures, and components.
• Lead supplier qualification and evaluation; support vendor audits and surveillance.
