Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Construction Quality Engineer to support the ESH&Q team on a 4x10 schedule at the Specific Manufacturing Capability facility. The role emphasizes quality program reviews, development of QA plans, and collaboration with facility management on compliance and improvements.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in a related field with several years of quality experience, BEA Quality Engineer certification, and the ability to obtain a DOE L clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field related to Quality (Chemistry, Engineering, or related) and 5 years of related experience or Master’s degree and 2 years of related experience or in lieu of degree 11+ years of related experience.
• Level 4 requires 9 years with or without degree, or 6 years with Master’s. Relevant experience commensurate with level.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality program reviews to ensure adequate quality requirements are identified and incorporated.
• Establish inspection basis protocols and nonconformance conditions.
• Provide technical expertise to program, project and facility management on quality compliance.
• Develop quality planning documents and QA inspection plans for quality-significant items.
• Review and approve quality-related procurement actions for implementation of Quality Program requirements.
• Provide QA expertise to assist facility personnel in quality concepts for design and installation of SSCs.
• Conduct quality assessments and surveillance to identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Coach facility personnel in applying quality requirements for DOE facilities and non-nuclear facilities.
