Job summary

Southern Nuclear is seeking a Procurement Engineer for Vogtle 1&2 or Vogtle 3&4 near Waynesboro, GA. You will support SNC nuclear power plants by defining technical and quality requirements for parts, materials, and services, classifying components, and researching design documentation to ensure safe, compliant replacements.

Responsibilities include resolving supplier exceptions, performing equivalency determinations, and updating plant configuration and supply chain records.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Experience in procurement or design engineering in a plant environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Determine and assign technical and quality requirements for parts, materials, and services used at nuclear power plants.
• Determine the functional classification of components.
• Research design documentation as necessary to make determinations.
• Resolve supplier exceptions to parts requests and other material issues.
• Perform Equivalency Determinations for replacement parts.
• Update plant configuration based on completed evaluations.
• Update Supply Chain documentation based on completed evaluations.
