Job summary

Southern Nuclear is seeking an experienced Reactor Engineer for Vogtle Units 3 and 4 in Waynesboro, GA. The role covers reactor core monitoring, SNM accountability, fuel movement and inspection, and surveillance of technical specifications to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.

The position requires a BS in Engineering (ABET-accredited) or a PE license, with Nuclear Engineering degree preferred. Prior reactor engineering experience at an operating facility is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET accredited college or university or PE license.
• Nuclear Engineering degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support operation of the station with reactor core monitoring, power maneuvers, and SNM accountability.
• Develop and implement reactor engineering procedures and processes.
• Perform technical specification surveillances and testing of reactor core operation.
• Operate and maintain core monitoring software and support fuel movement/inspection.
