Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Power Studies Engineer to contribute to electrical power system studies and design modifications. The role offers growth from mid-level to principal with mentoring and leadership opportunities, across multiple U.S.

sites including Naperville, IL. You will perform studies, apply industry standards, and collaborate with engineers and clients on diverse projects in nuclear, federal, and energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited university.
• MS in a relevant electrical engineering topic preferred.
• Experience working in the nuclear power industry is preferred.
• Maintains an active PE license or planning to obtain in near future.
• Mid-Level requires 3+ years of experience performing electrical studies.
• Senior Level requires 6+ years of experience performing electrical studies.
• Experience evaluating large scale power systems following NEC, IEEE, IEC, and NERC standards.
• Experience with load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection, and transient stability studies.
• Experience developing device setpoints for protection schemes.
• Advanced Word and Excel proficiency; strong writing and communication skills.
• Experience with scripting (Python, VBA, C++) is a plus.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical studies and design recommendations for power systems across facilities.
• Perform quality reviews for calculations, studies, models, and designs.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers on assigned projects.
