Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Nuclear Power Systems Engineer at mid to principal levels to design, analyze, and lead power system studies for diverse facilities, including data centers and energy plants. The role offers growth opportunities, mentorship, and potential leadership responsibilities across multiple U.S.

locations. You will collaborate with clients in Nuclear Services, Federal Services, and Power Delivery, applying advanced power system analysis and staying current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• MS in electrical engineering is preferred.
• Experience working in the nuclear power industry is preferred.
• Maintains an active PE license or planning to obtain in near future.
• Mid-Level requires 3+ years of experience performing electrical studies.
• Senior Level requires 6+ years of experience performing electrical studies.
• Experience evaluating large scale power systems following NEC/IEEE/IEC/NERC codes.
• Proficiency in understanding complex electrical engineering topics.
• Experience performing load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection, and transient stability analyses.
• Experience developing device setpoints for protection schemes and relays.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Studies & Design: Develop studies and design recommendations for generation, manufacturing, data centers or similar facilities.
• Quality Assurance: Perform quality reviews for calculations, models, designs, and data.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Direct and oversee technical work and mentor junior engineers.
