Job summary

Constellation in the United States is seeking a Reactor Operator trainee to manage a nuclear power station after completing Initial License Training and NRC licensing requirements. The role focuses on safe, efficient power generation in line with procedures and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring reactor operation, maintaining detailed shift logs, coordinating liquid radwaste releases, and being available for on-call, rotating shifts including holidays.

Qualifications

• Pass POSS and BMST pre-employment tests.
• Pass NRC-required physical examination for licensed operators.
• Obtains unescorted access to Constellation’s nuclear power plants.
• Maintain required total power plant experience as specified in minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Nuclear Power Station after training and NRC license attainment.
• Monitor reactor and operate within approved procedures and specs.
• Maintain a narrative log of shift activities.
• Coordinate liquid radwaste releases and transfers with operators.
• Be available for on-call status and rotating shifts, including holidays.
