Job summary

Constellation Energy Corporation seeks candidates for a Reactor Operator role. After Initial License Training, you will operate the Nuclear Power Station in compliance with NRC requirements and site procedures to ensure safe, reliable power generation.

You will monitor plant systems, maintain logs, handle on-call duties, and support emergency response. The position requires the ability to attain unescorted access and to work rotating shifts including holidays and weekends in a high-hazard

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Pass POSS and BMST pre-employment tests.
• Pass NRC-required physical examination for licensed operators.
• Obtain unescorted access to Constellation's nuclear power plants.
• Meet or exceed one of the following experience requirements: 6 months operating duties as on-site non-licensed operator with 18 months total Power Plant experience; 12–18 months at comparable facility etc.
• 6 months as active licensed reactor operator at comparable facility; 18 months total Power Plant experience.

Responsibilities

• In class: candidates attending class to attain RO license; classroom and field time to attain licensed status.
• Pass company and NRC exams to attain RO license.
• Operate the plant once licensed within Technical Specifications.
• Monitor reactor and maintain operation within established bands.
• Maintain logs of activities and coordinate with control room and other operations.
• Be available for on-call status, rotating shifts including holidays and weekends.
