Job summary

Vistra is seeking an Electrical/I&C Engineer at the Perry Plant in Perry, Ohio to provide technical expertise across nuclear systems and components. The role supports online work week execution, operability evaluations, and post-work testing, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and efficient plant operation.

The candidate should have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field, be able to walk down and inspect facilities, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Proficiency in PC use, engineering-specific applications, and reading engineering drawings.
• Minimum 2 years of related job experience; 6+ years preferred.
• Nuclear industry experience is favorable.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support across nuclear plant systems and components.
• Lead resolution of emergent issues and support online work week scheduling.
• Deliver input for operability evaluations and testing procedures.
• Perform complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and FMEA activities.
• Prepare technical reports with recommendations and participate in special projects.
