Job summary

Vistra is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Perry Plant in Ohio. The role focuses on technical expertise across nuclear power plant systems and components, including breakers, transformers, motors, relays, and protection systems.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, engineering support for emergent issues, and coordination of projects. Candidates should hold a B.S. in Engineering with electrical or nuclear focus and have extensive relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in Engineering (Electrical or Nuclear preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work across teams and departments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Support emergent, short-cycle, and near-term engineering work to protect the work week schedule.
• Serve as engineering point of contact for the online work week schedule and resolution of Holds.
• Provide engineering input for Operability evaluations.
• Support post-work testing and validation.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis (FMEA, confirm/refute).
• Prepare and present technical reports with recommendations for issue resolution.
• Participate in and occasionally lead special projects and committees.
