Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations in Perry, Ohio seeks an Electrical/I&C Engineer to provide technical expertise across nuclear power plant systems and components, including transmitters, control boards, relays, monitors, and software. The role supports emergent engineering work, online workweek scheduling, operability evaluations, and post-work testing.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred) with 2+ years experience (6+ preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or related science with power plant operations.
• Minimum of 2 years in related roles; 6+ years preferred.
• Experience in nuclear industry is favorable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for online work week scheduling and operability evaluations.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis (e.g., FMEA).
• Prepare and present technical reports with recommendations.
• Coordinate projects and provide field support for emergent questions.
• Support post-work testing, validation, and design modifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and maintain safe working environment.
