The Nuclear Pharmacist Floater (Interim/Contract) is responsible for following good sterile compounding practices in the preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals. Acts as the shift supervisor in line with pharmacy policy & procedures during their respective shift. This is an “as needed” opportunity to work in some or all of our 33 radiopharmacies located in 20 states (AZ, CA, FL, GA, IL, LA, MA, MD, MI, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI).

Responsibilities of a Nuclear Pharmacist Floater:
- Exemplify compliance with all regulations, Company Policies, Corporate Standards, and Health and Safety rules related to area of responsibility.
- Process and review customer orders from initial receipt through final packaging accurately and consistently.
- Accurately set up and compound radiopharmaceuticals.
- Manage the shift assigned in accordance with pharmacy policies & procedures, and direct all employee activity during the shift.
- Supervise and/or perform leukocyte labeling procedures.
- Handle, package, and deliver radiopharmaceuticals and hazardous materials in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate drug inventory and supplies.
- Supervise and/or perform equipment tests (e.g., dose calibrator, survey meter checks) and record results.
- Supervise and/or perform quality control tests on products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Provide training and supervision to employees to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
- Supervise and/or process returned medical waste and maintain reusable supplies per regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the lab according to housekeeping schedules, including cleaning and waste removal.
- Supervise bio-hazardous waste disposal and prepare related paperwork.
- Supervise radiation wipes and surveys on shipping containers, supplies, and workspaces.
- Participate in maintaining a safe work environment through training and safety practices.
- Support pharmacy operations by accurately entering information into the pharmacy system.
- Willingness to work on an on-call basis.
- Travel may be required up to 50%.
Qualifications and Education:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and/or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
- Authorized user of radioactive materials.
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of work.
- Currently listed as an ANP on a RAM license.
- Ability to accommodate shift changes based on business needs.
- Valid driver’s license for necessary delivery areas.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Willing to submit to drug testing and background checks.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Willing to travel and work flexible assignments within 18 states.
Desired Characteristics:
- Board Certified Nuclear Pharmacist.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- No recent driving violations or DWI/DUI convictions within the past 36 months.
- Willingness to obtain new state licenses as needed.
