Job summary

Talen Energy is seeking a Maintenance Outage Discipline Coordinator to lead outage readiness, planning, and execution for maintenance work at a nuclear facility. You will coordinate scope, resources, and scheduling with planning, maintenance, and contractor teams to support safe, efficient outages.

Responsibilities include leading discipline readiness reviews, ensuring proper work packaging, and identifying barriers that could affect schedule or cost.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience supporting outage planning, execution, maintenance coordination, or work management in a nuclear plant.
• Knowledge of work documents, modifications, and station work management practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with multiple groups.
• Ability to work extended hours during outages and emergency response as needed.
• Familiarity with project planning and outage readiness activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain outage readiness plans with milestones and owners.
• Validate scope, strategy, duration, and constraints for inclusion in schedules.
• Represent the discipline in outage reviews and planning forums.
• Identify scope, packaging requirements, and prerequisites for discipline activities.
• Determine contractor and labor needs and ensure safe, efficient execution.
• Coordinate support services and field resources for readiness and scheduling.
• Monitor progress, update schedules, and align field work with plan.
• Assist with contingency planning and risk mitigation.
• Support milestone management and budget awareness for the discipline.
• Contribute to outage improvement meetings and corrective actions.
