Job summary

PSEG Services Corp. is seeking a Technology Engineer to support the Nuclear Real-Time Systems (Operations Technology) team. The role covers the full system life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting application software and systems.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of IT experience.
• Ability to learn new concepts and adapt to priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and flexible with changing priorities.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to obtain ESP certification.
• Must meet nuclear requirements for site access and fitness-for-duty.
• Experience with MongoDB and MSSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cyber security controls.
• Experience translating business requirements into system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes end-user needs and designs, develops and tests solutions.
• Partners with analysts to translate requirements to application needs.
• Creates process flowcharts and related documentation.
• Develops technical workflows using modeling techniques.
• Ensures security and QA standards are met; analyzes root causes.
• Analyzes system reports to ensure performance and SLAs.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and OSes.
• Support and maintain OT systems and plant process computers.
• Conduct cyber security monitoring, incident response, and NRC support.
• Perform system programming and troubleshooting across Windows, Linux/Unix, OpenVMS.
