Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company is actively seeking candidates for the Senior Reactor Operator - License Class pathway. This role involves participating in a preparatory program for Operations Unit Supervisor, with the expectation to lead, direct, and evaluate junior staff while advancing through NRC-related training.

Successful candidates will engage in multiple training streams, develop leadership and technical skills, and progress toward licensing exams, with a strong emphasis on safety,

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
SRO license qualifications: previously held an SRO license or Reactor Operator license or BS in Engineering/Science; orLicensed operator training instructor with an SRO certification.
Two years military experience in a reactor-operator equivalent role.

Responsibilities

Completes SRO License/STA training program for degreed engineers.
Develops planning, organizing, and directing skills.
Practices controlling shift operations.
Maintains knowledge of plant operating conditions and limits per technical specs and license.
Performs as Operations Unit Supervisor during training.
Aims to pass NRC SRO exam and complete program.
